Where to go on honeymoon!?
We can’t decide. There is a resort in Mexico I really want to go to, but we’d be going away in July and I don’t really see the point of going somewhere warm when it’s already warm. But anyways, here is my dream resort:
We are also thinking of doing Hawaii or an Alaskan cruise, but we like to have a few coctails, and don’t like the idea of no booze included.
So.. I need your help. Where would go you?? Our budget is $5,000 or less all included (meals, booze etc)
1. Iberstar Grand Paradiso, Mayan Riveria

2. Hawaii
3. Atlantis Hotel, Bahamas
4. Alaskan Cruise
Atlantis hands down!!!
We went there a few years ago and it takes your breath away; it’s that beautiful.
In regards to alcohol; I’ve been on several "all inclusive" vacations and alcohol was NEVER included….So you might have a problem with that…
Congrats on your upcoming nuptials!

14/10/09 @ 11:16 pmOut of those, I’d only really be interested in Hawaii or Alaska and between the two I think I’d go for Alaska since summertime is the best time to go up there!!
You could also open your options to designing your own trip somewhere else.
We are planning to go to Maine and drive up the coast from Kittery to Bar Harbor. We will stay in different Bed & Breakfasts along the way and just have a great time sightseeing together. But we like this sort of trip – - that may not be what you find enjoyable or relaxing.

15/10/09 @ 1:18 amJamacia! My cousin went there for her honeymoon. They have tropical beautiful waters, white warm sand tropical fish, all the carribean stuff you can imagine. You can also get a good tan:) they also have a great food called "jerk chicken". If you like spicy carribean food you should try the jerk chicken. yummy!:)

15/10/09 @ 1:25 amI recently returned from an Alaskan cruise. The Alaska stuff was awesome, but some people wouldn’t have enjoyed it. The ship was mostly old people (60+) and there really wasn’t much to do if you were 19-40 without kids. So check with the line and make sure there is plenty of stuff to do for young people.
Other than that, do which you want or consult a travel agent.

15/10/09 @ 1:52 amI would choose an Alaskan Cruise, because out of the four it seems the most like a once in a lifetime type of trip (plus I love cruising!). The other places sound nice though.

15/10/09 @ 2:09 amI would personally go to the Iberostar Grand Paradiso. I have heard amazing things about the resort from our friends. In addition, I have been to the Iberostar Tucan (steps down) and thought that it was wonderful. The food was great, fresh, lost of seafood and it was wonderful to never have to worry about what you are paying for food or drinks. I think that the convenience for an all inclusive is perfect for your honeymoon. You don’t want to have to worry about how much you are spending on dinner or how much that last martini is going to cost you.
If you can do the Atlantis for that price it might be worth it. The only thing is that there will be children there as opposed to the Iberostar Grand which is an adults only. I think that having an adults only vacation would be more honeymoon fun than having children there also.
I have been to Hawaii and much prefer the Caribbean. The prices really rack up when you are on the islands. I have never been to Alaska so I can’t comment on it.
I will comment on prices for booze though on the cruises. I just returned from a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas and my bill was $400 additional (it did have a snorkeling trip on it though). I just think that as honeymooners you don’t want to worry about how much you are spending (except for tips).

15/10/09 @ 2:25 amAll of your choices sound nice, but I think I’d opt for the Cruise, especially since everything is included and you’ll stop at many ports!
