Has anyone ever stayed at the Dreams Tulum resort in the Yucatan?
If so, could you fill us in on the situation there? We would really like to stay there but have heard that the hotel is under major construction. We’re going in May. Also, what is the restaurant situation like? Do they actually let you eat at their a la carte’s, unlike other all-inclusives? Is the food good? Is it difficult to get tours from there, being that it’s a ways away from the rest of the riviera? How is the staff – speak English? I’ve read tons of reviews but none have really answered these ?s we have. Thanks!
I haven’t been lately but when I went to Dreams Cancun in August of last year, they had a fire, I was concerned because I was attending a wedding there, I called the hotel directly for updates… Here is Tulum’s info

I have read wonderful things about Dreams Tulum resort. You are close to all the good tours. Food is good, you don’t have to wear wrist bands and you don’t need to make reservation for dinners. I didn’t hear anything about construction. As far as the staff speaking english, I’m sure they do. It would also be good if you knew a few words in Spanish. Don’t worry you will have a great time.

P.S. There was a fire in one of the restaurants at Dreams Cancun not in the Tulum Dreams. All is well now.
