We take a bus tour to Merida City.
All aboard!
Merida is the capitol of Yucatan.
It’s got some great history and architecture!
North America’s oldest church is in Merida.
Inside of the church.

This building is the seat of Yucatan’s government.
The governor and mayor both hang out here.
The building also houses some very good art!
But, the men’s room is broken. Bye Jerry! :-)
The W.C. works just fine in this shop, though!

We waited, but Arnie Palmer didn’t show up. :-(
We take in an ice carving demo.
Before supper Jerry schmoozes with the Maitre’D.
The next morning we dock in Cozumel.
It’s a long dock so you can catch a cheap ride.
But, we’re real men, so we hoof it!
We do, however, take a cab from the dock to town.
We figured a taxi was safer then renting these.
Dropped off in downtown Cozumel.
We ate here on previous trips, but not this time.
Walking around the main plaza.
Like to shop? Cozumel’s for you!
Watch out for critters, though!
C-town’s pretty, but we’ve been here a lot before.
Which way to the pier, dude?
Always get a 2nd opinion on directions!
There’s plenty of bars and shops back at the pier.
And. places for us old people to sit and rest. :-)

The house is just one short block from one of Merida’s most idyllic squares, the lovely and peaceful Mejorada, a green space surrounded by magnificent buildings of historical and architectural significance.
Simple and elegant, this very private residence in the center of Mexico’s “White City” is ideal for enjoying the tranquility of Merida’s tropical climate.
Floors of black and white pasta tiles surrounded by polished white concrete, purposely a stunning and simple design, and large high-ceilinged rooms provide a backdrop for any style of furnishings and paintings.
Designed and renovated by the Merida architect Henry Ponce, this house reflects his work and art: large rooms created from small spaces, comfort and beauty, love of nature and artistic design, superb aspects of lighting and visual harmony.
