   Mi Esquina
(My Corner) is a charming old landmark, majestically occupying the Corner of Calle 62 and 53, just four blocks from the main square of the old city of Merida and minutes away from all the main attractions.

With a rich past of its own, this unique structure went under massive restoration three
years ago.  While the integrity of the facade and other main features in the main house
were not compromised, several new additions and upgrades now make Mi Esquina the perfect place for those who visit Old Merida looking for a tranquil, private, home-away-from-home, experience.  There are many unique features to this old two story house; A spacious Living room with arches on the first floor, where you will also find the dining room with a modern Kitchen.

In the back of the first floor a new unit was added which include the "Piedra Yucateca"
or Yucatecan Stone, named after the exposed stoned walls of this room. This unit is
facing the patio with a pool, surrounded by tropical and flowering plants, hamacas and
sitting areas.

The second floor which originally had three bedrooms was changed to two bedrooms (“La
Esquina” and “La Pitya
”), and a good size living room. The original tiles in both rooms were found in such a good condition that they were never changed.  “La Terracita”   is the newest room that was built at the back of the house on the second floor. "La Terracita" has its own small terrace surrounded by lush greens and flowering plants and with a view to the pool.

All rooms are spacious and come with king-size beds, TV+DVD.  All rooms are air
conditioned, beautifully decorated and come with their private, good size, tiled
bathrooms and with  counters  made out of a polished, local  stone known as Tikul and
Crema Maya.

Our aim is to provide our visitors a serene and restful environment. So If you are looking for a place with privacy and the intimacy of home, you have just found it in Mi Esquina.

To achieve our objective we allow a maximum of two adults per room. (For more Information
